You can't go wrong with this motel!! The covered bridge is across the street where can fish or simply relax by the running water. Absolutely beautiful in fall. The owners are very friendly. They have coffee pots if you need one for the room. Fresh towels daily when needed. No internet access but you won't need it because there is tons to do. You cant rent ATV for the day and the trail is in back of motel. If you are looking for a place that's quiet this is it!! I will be back!!!

These sorts of reviews are hard to write because it all comes down to expectations. Chances are, if you're the type to read Google Reviews to see the places you're going to eat/stay, then you might be like me and be just a tad bit underwhelmed with this place. So, why the 4 stars? Pros - It was surprisingly clean. Like, not a single roach or bug in the entire room (aside from the ones that zoom in when the door is open even for a split second) - IT WAS CLEAN. Must be because it's so stinking old, but the fact this place was genuinely neat, with no bed stains, clean and new bathroom, and well mopped floors was legit a surprise. - It was an easy check-in, albeit a weird one. Go up to the house (yes the actual house in the back) to check in. It's family ran and they live on site Cons - It's a motel. The walls are thin, the rooms are small, and the bathrooms are basically half-baths with a tub squeezed it. Again, go in with low low expectations and it's not too bad - Traffic is loud. The motel is right on the highway, so every 18 wheeler coming by feels like it's so loud it's coming at your room - The beds all sink towards the center. Probably just old and worn in. Which, again, it's a motel... Overall, for $80/night, this was a freaking steal and my wife and I didn't regret the one night stay. That being said, if we had neighbors that were even remotely noisy, smoked in the rooms, or any other minor/major nuisances, this trip could have easily been a regrettable decision.

Great stay, we plan on returning! The rooms are very comfortable and "homey" and cozy. The staff were kind and gave excellent service. Great location too! Dover-Fovercroft is just up the road and it is along several trails and the river.

The owners were super friendly, helpful, and offered a comfortable super affordable stay. The motel is a motel. It has clean rooms of pleasantly homey decor. No unpleasant odors. They offer some pet friendly rooms. If you aren't expecting a 5* hotel, but rather affordable pleasant lodging you will more than satisfied. There is air conditioning, heat, tv, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and coffee for the asking, clean bathrooms. Across the street from a historic covered bridge, a beautiful river across the street, some nice walking trails, just a couple miles to restaurants and stores. If you are a normal, average, reasonable person you will enjoy your experience here with these great folks. Home grown American family business. Support small family businesses. Support America.
